Students represent borough in Merseyside Athletics event

The event at Wavertree Athletics Centre involved 2000 children from across Merseyside. As well as competing in the sport, students from The Birkenhead Park School were also leaders and assisted in a mass warm up in the morning with School Games Organiser Mrs Corcoran.

The students then went on to compete in the 100m sprint, 800m, Howler Vortex Throw and Long Jump.

Subject Lead for PE Miss Ponton said: “The students had a fantastic time and it was a great experience for them to be representing the borough in such a big event. I was very proud to take them and they were a credit to the school. ”
