The Baroness was appointed Victim’s Commissioner in 2012, five years after her husband, Garry Newlove, was murdered in their home town of Warrington after confronting youths who were vandalising his car.

In her talk she will share her experiences on the impacts of antisocial behaviour as part of a joint initiative between The Sixth Form College Birkenhead and Merseyside Police.

Performing Arts students at the college are preparing for a new drama performance which will be shown in local secondary schools across Wirral to highlight the impact of antisocial behaviour.

Since her husband’s death, Baroness Newlove has worked extensively to confront antisocial behaviour thorough educating children, improving facilities and campaigning against drinking culture.
