Crina, who was part of the school’s Class of 2016 that left last year, was recently awarded the honour of becoming a Student Ambassador for the College. Her ambassadorial work involves supporting others, as well as attending events to give guidance and advice to prospective and existing students. Now in the shortlisting for one of two Head Student positions, Crina is looking to add another impressive achievement to her already burgeoning CV.
Currently sitting exams in Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Spanish at the end of her first year at Birkenhead Sixth Form College, multilingual Crina also studies Mandarin Chinese in her spare time. Her energy, drive and passion truly make her a role model for others, and those qualities also mean that she is in pursuit of a place at one of the UK’s top universities, Cambridge, where she hopes to study Natural Sciences.
The former Birkenhead Park School student chose to join Birkenhead Sixth Form College after her GCSEs with the help and guidance from her teachers, who were always encouraging her to fulfil her considerable academic potential.
Crina said: “The Birkenhead Park School taught me a real passion for the subjects I enjoyed, and Miss Galer always supported me, especially during my exams. She would give me help and advice and always taught me to keep pushing myself.”
Assistant Head of Years 9 & 10 at The Birkenhead Park School, Miss Galer, said: “Crina is an exemplary student who has a fantastic work ethic in life. She was a pleasure to teach and is a real role model for others.
“Her enthusiasm and love for what she does, and the resilience that she’s shown to keep pushing herself to achieve her dreams is both inspirational and aspirational, and she is a credit to both The Birkenhead Park School and Birkenhead Sixth Form College.”
