Former student Callum heading to Cambridge

A former student of the Birkenhead Park School has been celebrating as his remarkable A Level grades got him a place at one of the most prestigious universities in the world.
Callum Griffiths finished his GCSEs at the school in 2021 and headed to Birkenhead Sixth Form College, where he has just achieved grades of A*A*A at A Level and secured a place at Cambridge University.
Callum will now be a student of Pembroke College in the university, studying Natural Sciences. He took A Levels in Biology, Chemistry and Physics, and has aspirations of working in environmental issues.
His superb GCSE results while at The Birkenhead Park School enabled him to follow his dream and open doors for his future, studying at an elite university after a similarly successful time at Birkenhead Sixth Form College.
After collecting his results in a busy day of students and their families celebrating, Callum said: “I’m really excited and obviously really pleased with my results. I’m heading down to Cambridge in September and I couldn’t be happier.
“My journey in education has been irreplaceable. I’ve enjoyed my time at both school and college, but I’ve also worked really hard to get my results, so this is the end of a long journey - but the hard work starts again soon!”
The Birkenhead Park School Head of School, Peter Mee, said: “Everyone at the school sends huge congratulations to Callum. His dedication to hard work to get to where he is now is a testament to his character and is an inspiration to us all.
“We take real pleasure in hearing all of our former students’ success stories every year, and we are delighted that the school’s approach to establishing positive learning habits sets students up for their time after school and beyond. We hope all of our former students who received A Level results this year have reason to celebrate, and their hard work has paid off.”
