After GCSEs
After completing their GCSEs, the natural progression for many of our students is to go on to study A Levels and BTECs at Birkenhead Sixth Form College, which is one of the country’s leading sixth forms for Year 12 & 13 students.
Rated as ‘outstanding’ in all areas by Ofsted and winner of prestigious local and national education awards, the College specialises in purely ages 16-18 education and is situated just across Birkenhead Park in Claughton Village.
The A Level and BTECs on offer are higher qualifications than GCSEs and are vital for students aiming to go to university, but also open up more and better job opportunities in the future. There is a wide range of subjects to choose from, with nearly 40 different options.
While the College is an academic choice for next steps after GCSEs, it prides itself on helping all students achieve success, no matter their starting point or background, and each year, our former students finish their journeys at the College with more life opportunities at their finger tips than they would do anywhere else.
