Students raise money in charity coffee morning

Mark (Year 11), Charlie and Billy (Year 9) helped organise the Macmillan coffee morning at Birkenhead Karate Club.

Assistant Head of Year Miss Galer also helped run the event with a fantastic turnout of over 120 people. The cake and coffee morning included raffles, games and prizes donated by local businesses and the community.

Charlie from Year 9 said: “We had a great day and raised so much money, the cakes were amazing!’

Miss Galer added: “I am so pleased we managed to raise this money for such an important charity and I want to thank everyone who turned up to support us as without them we could never have achieved such a fantastic amount.”
