Year 7 ‘KOOTH’ Assembly
11 January 2017
XenZone is a provider of online mental health services for children, young people and adults with KOOTH being one of their programmes.
Sophie Carr from Kooth advised the students about ways in which they could use the website for advice and support. It is accessible through mobile, tablet and desktop and free at the point of use. Students can log in and chat to a counsellor, read support documents or speak to other young people. The site also provides access to forums, a journal for students to write their feelings in and an online magazine.
The assembly took place as part of the school’s commitment to ensuring all students continue feeling safe and supported.
Head of Year 7 Mrs Kirwan said “KOOTH is an excellent resource for our students to use. KOOTH is also coming in to do some group work with some of our Year 7 students in the near future”
