Egremont Primary solve the crime
13 September 2017
The CSI event held every year at The Birkenhead Park School is extremely popular with local primary schools and is a great way for the children to get a taste of secondary school life.
The morning involved collating scientific evidence such as fingerprints, footprints, blood and fibres, and testing them to find out which suspect committed the crime.
Year 6 pupil Emma, said: “I have had so much fun doing the testing in a real science lab. I really enjoyed looking through the microscope and testing the blood. I wish we could come back tomorrow!”
At the end of the tasks, all the children came together to solve the crime in a short assembly and received a certificate of participation.
Miss Mulvany from Egremont Primary School said: “What a fantastic day. The staff at The Birkenhead Park School were so welcoming when we arrived. Year 6 commented on how special they felt and the crime scene worked brilliantly. The experiments were accessible to all and the pupils thoroughly enjoyed the morning. Thank you to everyone.”
